About Me

My name is Emil Krasnodębski. I’m the son of Jan, grandson of Polikarp, greatgrandson of Jan, greatgreatgrandson of Ignacy…

I’m a historian, graduate of Warsaw University. Professional genealogy is my full-time job, but above all it’s my life passion that enabled me to trace the roots of numerous individuals worldwide.  I did my very first ancestral tree of my family at the age of eight.

Since 2001 I’ve been searching in whole Poland and cooperating with my fellows in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, Israel and Ukraine. I took part in some projects for Jewish Records Indexing Poland, the largest genealogical data for Jewish genealogies. Many times I joined the living members of the same family, separated by the wars and emmigration, had the honour to share their emotion while very touching reunions. Such experiences and possibility to tell your family history strongly confirm my conviction my assistance makes sense.

MY OFFER

Genealogy

I offer genealogical research of your family history as deep in the past as records allow: births, marriages and deaths records, censuses, military and court documents as well as old local newspapers. I search at the state, church and military archives to collect diverse types of information. This is all to make your own family history a fascinating and unique story.

Ancestral tours

When we learn your family history, I’d love to organize a tour following the traces of your ancestors. We’ll visit the local churches, graveyards, open-air museums, halls of memory. They can tell us more about your ancestors and their everyday life than you can imagine. We’ll take the images of all these places to save them for future generations. We’ll search for living relatives and will listen to their stories. I deeply believe the new relations will help you to reply the question: who am I?

Ancients docs translations

Do you search on your own and come across the troubles to decipher old handwriting? It is usual, because the documents were recorded in several languages througout centuries and partitions: in Latin, German, Russian, Ukrainian and Yiddish. Moreover, an illegible handwriting makes hard to read also Polish documents, these official and private, like the letters written by your ancestors. My long experience will overcome these nuisances. Just send me the image. I work in conjunction with a translation company and am able to deliver the highest level of translation into all modern languages.
